Joel Francis founded Premise Films to develop, finance and produce quality films, television shows and other forms of vibrant content that engages and entertains viewers across all genres and avenues of communication. 

Joel began his career in the industry working for Keith Calder and Jess Wu Calder at Snoot Entertainment. Joel participated in creating magic supporting the development and production of One Night in Miami, Little Monsters and Blindspotting - the film and eventually the television show as well. Joel has stayed busy honing his craft through producing, directing and editing music videos and organizing private events.

Joel is currently Associate Producing the development of a Black Panther Party TV Series. He also Associate Produced an anthology that will be competing in the 2024 Sundance Film Festival lineup. He also completed principal photography on the second season of A Grunt's Life on VET TV as the Unit Production Manager.
